We’re gonna need a bigger trophy cabinet!
It’s been a successful 2019 for LIT, beginning with our Great Place to Work Awards. We can boast about being listed as a top 30 UK large company, being a Wellbeing Centre of Excellence AND, most recently, ranking 9th in the Best Workplaces in Tech UK Awards large category.
Speaking after the Tech award, Senior Director of Talent, Cathy Donnelly, said, “At Liberty IT, we work together to unleash the power of our people, providing them with opportunities to build solutions which add real business value, to work with emerging tech, to be innovative and be empowered and developed. All of this set in an environment where they can avail of a wide range of benefits and make a difference in the local community through our Corporate Responsibility committees.
“We offer flexible working options, health insurance, mental health awareness, fitness classes and much more, alongside volunteering and opportunities to coach and be coached in your career. It’s not just smart business sense, it’s about protecting and nurturing your greatest asset – your team.”
In November, we were shortlisted for two Belfast Telegraph IT awards and a group of ten staff attended the event in The MAC. We had a really successful evening with Darren Broderick winning the Young IT Professional of the Year category and our Claims team being Highly Commended for their virtual assistant in Best Use of Cloud Services.
Our year ended with Gillian Armstrong receiving an AWS Machine Learning Hero Award at re:Invent in Las Vegas – joining Gillian McCann who received the award in 2018 – a great recognition of hard work and commitment.
Congratulations once again to everyone whose efforts resulted in these awards – and here’s to a successful 2020!
